Fredro Starr is releasing his newest single "What If 2" which is the sequel to
the stand out track from his 2001 solo debut, Firestarr. Fredro Starr is an
American rapper and actor from South Jamaica, Queens, New York, and is also
extremely well known as 1/3 of the hardcore hip hop group Onyx, whose debut
album won Soul Train's 1993 Best Rap Album of the year over Dr. Dre's The
Chronic.
Onyx's impact in the hip hop world is so influential, even
Eminem mentions them in the song "Legacy" off the recently released "The
Marshall Mathers Lp 2". Their first album "Bacdafucup"
met with great
commercial success, including heavy airplay on radio and MTV for the single
"Slam".
Produced by Paul Cabbin, What If 2 is the sequel to Fredro
Starr's hit What If off his Debut album Firestarr, which also produced the huge
hit "Shining Through" from the extremely successful film "Save The Last Dance"
where Fredro Starr was also one of the leading actors in the movie. He also
appeared in several other films including "Sunset Park", "Light It Up",
"Clockers" and "Torque".
In "What If 2", Fredro updates the concept for
today's hip-hop culture and radio programmers and critics are ecstatic about the
return of Fredro Starr to the international spotlight, as he has made such an
influential impact on the hip-hop charts and culture throughout his incredible
career. The single will be followed up with the release of his full length
feature album "Firestarr 2" which will come out on Monarchy Records in early
