Leon Inks Deal and Joins The Spectra Music Group


World renowned actor and musician Leon has just inked a recording contract with the Spectra Music Group. Leon leads the group, Leon & The Peoples​, which ​​has a signature style that ​combines Reggae and Soul and carves out a genre that is all of their own.

Leon passionately leads the band with his smooth, sultry vocals and heartfelt lyrics, while The Peoples feature top-notch musical talent from across the globe. The unique creation results in high energy live performances and a commitment to bringing their Reggae-Soul infused music to a worldwide audience.





Leon is no stranger to music on the silver screen having portrayed David ​Ruffin in the hit Mini-Series “The Temptations" based on the legendary Motown super group, “The ​Five Heartbeats” and as “Little Richard” in the authorized biopic both which were directed by Robert Townsend.

Leon has three movies set for release later this year and 2015. Leon has received an International Reggae and World Music Award nomination for the band's debut CD “The Road Less Traveled” which was the winner of Best International Artist at the Joe Higgs Reggae Awards and completed a 36 city US tour with reggae greats Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths titled the "For The Love Of It Tour" as well as frequent guest on Mr. Hammond's 2013 North American tour. Leon & The Peoples had the closing credit song on the 20th Century Fox film "Cover" in 2011 and have two songs on the soundtrack of up coming Lions Gate romantic comedy, "I Really Hate My Ex."
